Author Guidelines

Before preparing and submitting a manuscript, authors should carefully note that manuscript withdrawal is not recommended once the article has entered the publication process, including peer review, copyediting, layout editing, or other editorial stages. At this stage, Learning Strategies: Jurnal Ilmu Pendidikan dan Pembelajaran has already allocated editorial resources and time to process the manuscript.

Authors are therefore expected to prepare their manuscripts carefully before submission by following the journal guidelines and article template provided by the journal.

1. General Requirements

Learning Strategies: Jurnal Ilmu Pendidikan dan Pembelajaran accepts manuscripts that have not been previously published in any journal, book, proceeding, or other scholarly publication and are not currently under consideration or accepted for publication elsewhere.

The manuscript must be relevant to the fields of education, learning, teaching strategies, instructional models, curriculum development, educational technology, assessment, classroom practice, teacher professional development, and other related areas within educational studies.

The journal accepts the following types of manuscripts:

  1. original research articles;

  2. classroom action research articles;

  3. research and development articles;

  4. case studies in education;

  5. literature review articles;

  6. systematic literature review articles;

  7. conceptual or theoretical articles related to education and learning.

The manuscript must be accompanied by a statement of originality from the author(s), confirming that the article is an original work and does not contain plagiarism.

The manuscript must be written using the journal article template.

References must consist of at least 15 sources, with a minimum of 30% coming from primary sources, particularly scholarly journal articles.

The maximum similarity index allowed for submitted manuscripts is 20%.

2. Manuscript Format

The manuscript must be at least 8 pages in length and typed on A4 paper using 1.5 line spacing, Cambria font, size 12 pt. Citations should be written using in-text citation or body note format.

Manuscripts may be written in either Indonesian or English using clear, proper, and academic language.

The manuscript should be arranged in the following order:

  1. Title

  2. Author Name(s)

  3. Abstract

  4. Keywords

  5. Introduction

  6. Method

  7. Results and Discussion

  8. Conclusion

  9. References

3. Article Writing Requirements

Title

The title should consist of 10–15 words. It must be concise, informative, specific, and clearly reflect the main focus of the manuscript.

Author Name(s)

Author names must be written without academic titles. Each author must include an email address and institutional affiliation.

Abstract

The abstract must be written in both Indonesian and English. It should consist of 150–250 words and clearly describe the research background, objective, method, main findings, and conclusion.

Keywords

Keywords must be written in both Indonesian and English. Each version should contain 3–5 keywords that represent the main concepts of the manuscript.

Introduction

The introduction should explain the research background, educational problem, research gap, novelty, objective, and significance of the study. Authors should support their arguments with relevant and up-to-date references.

Method

The method section should describe the research design, participants or research subjects, setting, instruments, data collection techniques, and data analysis procedures. The explanation must be sufficiently clear to allow readers to understand how the study was conducted.

For classroom action research, authors should describe the research cycle, stages of action, participants, instruments, and indicators of success.

For research and development studies, authors should clearly explain the development model used, development stages, validation process, product trial, instruments, and data analysis techniques.

For literature review or systematic review articles, authors should describe the database sources, search strategy, inclusion and exclusion criteria, screening process, and method of analysis.

Results and Discussion

The results and discussion section should present the findings clearly and systematically. Tables, figures, charts, or other visual materials may be used to support the presentation of findings.

The discussion should interpret the findings by relating them to relevant theories, previous studies, educational practices, and the research objectives. Authors should also explain the contribution of the study to educational knowledge, learning practice, or policy development where relevant.

Conclusion

The conclusion should be written concisely and must answer the research objective. It should summarize the main findings and highlight the contribution of the study. Recommendations for future research or educational practice may be included where appropriate.

References

References must follow the APA 6th edition style of the American Psychological Association. Authors are strongly encouraged to use reference management software such as EndNote, Mendeley, Zotero, or similar tools to facilitate citation management, editing, and review.

Authors must ensure that all references cited in the text are listed in the reference section and that all references in the reference section are cited in the manuscript.
